I bought it to read to my K - 2nd graders. It has great illustrations and a funny story line. My Kinder and 1st graders didn't really get it, being that they don't have much life experience to relate to but my 2nd graders were able to appreciate the creative play happening throughout and laughed out loud in several places. I would definitely recommend this to children 7 - 10 though. I'm very glad I purchased this book.
Great story. The hilarious story has been enjoyable for all four of my kids ages 10, 9, 6 and 4. My 9 year old said, “This is how it really is at our family holidays.†Fantastically illustrated!
I got this for my grandson who was going on and on about it at school where they read it to him. He has asked me to read it a lot of times. It's a great example of creative play in absence of actual toys.
Terrible. Nothing about Thanksgiving. Bought it to read at school. Didnt. It taught nothing. Wish I could have previewed it before purchasing.
It’s a fun picture book because my kids talk about struggles to not be at the baby table and how to make your own fun. (That’s my 7-9 year olds) my 3-5 year olds think it’s funny
